RECONSTRUCTING ATLANTA: A Contemporary Continuum represented a synchronistic network of exhibitions and events that examined the real and imagined nexus of art, architecture and urban design. This continuum included contemporary art projects organized by the GSU Welch School Gallery, Eyedrum Art and Music Gallery, the Youth Art Connection Gallery, Frequent Small Meals, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, the College of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Metropolitan Public Art Coalition and the Museum of Design City of Neighborhoods program, as well as art departments at Grady High School, Tri-Cities High School and South Atlanta School of Engineering and Computer Sciences. RECONSTRUCTING ATLANTA intended to actively connect with current urban design and redevelopment initiatives such as the Beltline transportation project that recognize the significance of socio-cultural challenges and creative opportunities at the heart of our growing city.

Damn character counts kept me from adding these names: Dan Reuter, Tom Weyandt and David Emory at the Atlanta Regional Commission. These guys are very good when it comes to land-use and transit.
